How much is the adoption fee?

  • $125 adult cat (6 months to 5 years)

  • $150 kitten (6 months and younger)

  • $Donation request for cats older than 5 or cats with known health issues.

What does the adoption fee include?

When you adopt from us, you can rest assured that your cat or kitten has been seen by a vet and received necessary medical care. Why charge a fee?  Preparing a cat or kitten for adoption is expensive.  If you were to get a "free" cat or kitten, you would easily spend a minimum of $350 for the medical services we provide.  The fee does not cover the cost of the care for the cat or kitten.  We make up the remaining cost by fundraising and we work with a vet who is "rescue" friendly. We are committed to providing a healthy pet for adoption, but health cannot be guaranteed. There are many illnesses that cannot be detected in cats and kittens in advance.

The fee includes:

  • Spaying/neutering

  • Up to date on age-appropriate vaccines including Rabies and FVRCP

  • Tested for FIV & FeLV

  • Microchipped

  • Dewormed and treated to prevent fleas, worms, etc.

  • Socialized/fostered in a family environment

  • Litter box trained

  • Medical care for illnesses and injuries while in our care.

The adoption process begins after you submit an adoption application. It usually takes 48 hours for our volunteers to reach out to you after the application has been submitted.  We do have cats and kittens that are adoption ready that may not be on our website.  We can provide photos and personality descriptions on our kitties after your application has been reviewed.
